Berkhamsted Wedding

I genuinely don't know where to start with this one. I first met Rob and Mario at a wedding I had the pleasure of photographing. Both Mario and Rob had created a truly beautiful wedding cake (@couplewhocake) for Beth and Rich and Mario was best man. The pair of them are just the sweetest and most welcoming people. So naturally, I was delighted when they reached out and asked if I could be their wedding photographer too.

We met for tea at their gorgeous home in Leighton Buzzard, I mean seriously, interior design at its absolute finest! It was instantly clear these two knew exactly what they wanted and they work in unison to achieve their dreams. Then the pandemic hit…. booohissss! Things were put on hold. Instead of getting stressy these two just took it all in their stride. They knew EXACTLY the date they were going to get married. Why? Because they met on pride weekend, they were engaged on pride and it was only natural to be married then too. On their original wedding date they took a little stroll and had a picnic (organised by Mario’s thoughtful sister) it looked like the perfect way to spend your “should have been getting married” day.

Fast forward to June this year. When I say this wedding was emotional, I genuinely mean it. I was so excited to see these love birds finally put a ring on it. There definitely wasn’t a dry eye in Berkhamsted Town Hall when they walked down the aisle together. The hall was decorated with the most vibrant and beautiful flowers by Bloomfields to match THAT incredible suit.

Following the ceremony, it was a short walk to their reception at The Gatsby . Along the way, I knew, The boys wanted to have groups photos and a few portraits in an alleyway. I trusted them entirely with this choice, because these boys have some serious style. It was never going to disappoint. The speeches were emotional and hilarious. Best Man Rich, did not disappoint. He does love a bit of karaoke.

Some of you may know, that the Gatsby is attached to The Rex cinema. We were extremely lucky to go and have a few portraits in the old cinema before heading to the Tayloriello’s new pad in Tring for a cocktail garden party.

The number guests were restricted but it genuinely didn’t feel like it. It was the loveliest atmosphere with some of their nearest and dearest. The Tayloriello’s Wedding Part Two, is something I am already so excited to be part of. Roll on Pride 2022 and many, many more anniversaries for these two.
